Backward compatibility for original Xbox games is coming, and some titles seem to have already been spotted.

Some of the first Xbox backward compatibility titles are set to arrive sometime before the end of the year, and five have cropped up on the Xbox marketplace.

According to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, he’s updated on games which are currently getting approvals and which games are in the pipeline.

“I know the games that are coming for the original Xbox but I don’t think we’ve announced them all,” he told Gamespot. “We have to do this in partnership with partners, but we’re still on track. I feel really good. The games look great.

“There’s some stuff we’re going to talk about terms of how compatibility’s going to work on Xbox One X specifically that I think people will find pretty interesting.”

Some of the games which are on track for 2017 could be Crimson Skies and Fuzion Frenzy, both of which were previously confirmed at E3 this year.

This week, reddit user HiPanda123 noticed some other titles listed in the game hubs for original Xbox games (thanks, Windows Central).

These include The King of Fighters: Neo Wave, Dead to Rights, and Red Faction 2 with their own dedicated game hubs with empty store links.

While it will be fun to relive some of our favorite titles, features like achievements and widescreen support won’t be available because of reliance on the original code for each game. But we shouldn’t get too excited over the number of titles to be made available, as Microsoft previously stated  the service will support fewer games than Xbox 360 titles.
